The beveled corner appears to be a very simple detail, but the operator knows that appearances can be deceiving. This is especially true when you're trying to build a polygon that requires perfect alignment of all the cuts. CMT bevel cutters, all of which feature tungsten carbide micrograin coatings, can make beveling work much easier. By simply adjusting the height of the cutter, you'll get an endless and functional variety of bevels. This beveling is ideal for beams, columns or bulky pieces of wood.

Helpful hint: When building a multi-sided shape, remember to leave the sides slightly longer than the required size. Cut them to length only after chamfering the edges. Most beveling cutters do not fully utilize the full cutting length of the carbide; as a result, the cut will have uneven wear. Extend the performance of your cutter by adjusting the cutting height and guide so that the cutting edge is fully utilized.
