When you need to construct a multi-sided shape remember to leave the sides slightly longer than the required size. Cut them to size only after you have made the chamfer on the edges. Most beveling cutters do not fully utilize the full cutting length of the carbide; as a result, the cut will have uneven wear. Extend the performance of your cutters by adjusting the cutting height and guide so that the cutting edge is fully utilized.
